As a fun project to provide customized zoom backgrounds for Look, Listen and Learn TV's core team and board members, our Communications Manager suggested creating background assets that people could choose for their final zoom background. While I was creating the illustrations and assets, I then thought, "why not build an interactive zoom component viewer as a demo.” That way, the group could toggle between their choices and see what the final artwork could look like with their preferences.
I took the initiative to create an interactive Figma prototype and organized all the components for easy swapping of assets. I also created all the artwork components that I made in Illustrator and imported them into Figma to build the interactive prototype. The prototype incorporates LL+L TV's brand colors and fonts.
Payoff: Now whenever new LL+L TV staff members join the org and want their own customized LL+L TV Zoom background, I can easily incorporate their background preferences by just swapping out the components, adding in their personal item, and exporting the PNG for use. Hours saved! Also, Figma rocks!
