The following work covers visual UI design for DreamBox Learning and the Nancy Drew Dossier Series.
For DreamBox Learning's various engagement experiences for grade 3 to middle-school, I incorporated specific design elements to convey the mood of each scene. In the middle-school environment, I chose a clean and minimal visual aesthetic so that it would be less scrapbook-y and more geared towards focus on lesson content as well as customizable wallpaper backgrounds. For grades 3-5, I went with a highly textural, skeuomorphic direction to convey a sense that the student has a digital, personalizable scrapbook full of lessons, collections, math-themed cartoons, and games.
As we worked to release the iPad version of the product, I assessed and re-designed where applicable all the interface elements of the desktop product for best display on the iPad.
While Art Director for Nancy Drew Dossier, I designed and created the overall game series user interface in addition to establishing the visual look of all game elements, characters, environments and cutscenes. Using AfterEffects, I created sample demos for user interactions as items are revealed and the character dialog presentation.
